My chiropractic experience
When I first went to chiropractic school, I was somewhat skeptical. I and if you got sick, your doctor prescribed medicine. After taking the medicine, you usually better, and if the first medicine didn't work, they would prescribe something else. You weren't supposed to ask the doctor questions, because if you didn't go to medical school, you were not smart enough to understand the answer.
That was my knowledge of healthcare. Even today most people don't think about why they get sick, or if medicine always has the best solution. We just do what we have been taught by our parents, the school nurse and society, which is when you get sick, go to a medical doctor, take medicine and expect it to work.
When I entered chiropractic college, the American Medical Society and medical doctors were anti-chiropractic. made me think that there was something wrong with this profession. The majority of chiropractic students had experienced life changing results from chiropractic care after traditional medical care failed to help them.
Chiropractic care changes lives. The phrase "pay it forward" is a major motivating factor in the chiropractic community.
Chiropractors are dedicated professionals who want to help others discover that true health begins when you realize that create the environment for your body to heal naturally.
Back pain, headaches and numerous other health problems are often caused by underlying spinal problems called subluxations. Chiropractic care helps correct these problems with a treatment called a chiropractic adjustment (a type of spinal manipulation done by hand). Adjustments make the spine more flexible, improve posture, and stimulates the body's ability to heal.
Chiropractic care has helped millions of people experience life altering recoveries. Many of my patients had suffered for years and thought that their only options were, to live with the pain, take medication, or risk surgery which doesn't necessarily restore a person to 100% and can sometimes make the condition worse.

Skeptics
When I entered the field of chiropractic, I was skeptical. I trust medical doctors, I know they are smart. If chiropractic really worked, I felt the medical community would embrace this approach.
Some MD's do embrace chiropractic, but most don't.
Chiropractic has gained acceptance the old fashion way, by consistently helping patients. Many of the patients I take care of tried various medical treatments prior to seeking chiropractic care. The only reason people try chiropractic is that they were not satisfied with the response they had to medical care.

Therapy Localization
Therapy localization is a form of applied kinesiology that uses the body's energy to identify stresses and strains in the extremities. This technique can help me identify and correct problems in the feet, ankles, knees, hips, as well as wrists and hands.
Therapy localization of the cranial sinuses can also reduce congestion associated with allergies and colds.
Once identified, then I perform specific adjustments to correct those problems.
